Role: Packaging Designer
PROBLEM
The brand needed a packaging redesign that would elevate product perception while meeting strict Canadian food labeling regulations.
Product: Redesign Packaging
Duration: 4 weeks
Existing packaging lacked visual impact and did not fully communicate the freshness and premium quality of the product. At the same time, the design had to balance multiple constraints — including regulatory compliance, production limitations, and alignment with brand stakeholders.
SOLUTION
I developed a visually engaging packaging system that highlights product freshness and indulgence through strong food imagery and refined typography, while ensuring full compliance with Canadian packaging standards. The design was executed in alignment with the brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in color palette, visual language, and overall brand expression.

Design solution
A clean, structured layout combined with bold product imagery (chocolate-coated berries and pouring chocolate) to immediately communicate taste and quality.
Carefully balanced bilingual typography (French-first hierarchy) ensures clarity and compliance, while maintaining an elegant and modern visual identity.

Exploration & Concept Development
I explored multiple visual directions, focusing on:
Product-centered compositions (berries + chocolate interaction)
Clean vs expressive typography styles
Layout systems that support bilingual content without clutter
This phase helped define a direction that feels both premium and approachable.

Moodboard.
Strong product imagery – featuring food in an inviting,
delicious way, reinforcing taste appeal.
Geometric and modular packaging – structured,
grid-like layouts with color blocking enhance visibility and branding impact.
Direction is great for modern, bold,
and playful brands that want to feel trend and dynamic.

I adapted the design across different packaging sizes:
70g
150g
305g
Ensuring consistency while adjusting layout, proportions, and regulatory elements for each format.

I prepared final print-ready files and dielines, ensuring:
Accurate scaling and layout alignment
Correct placement of all regulatory elements
Compatibility with printer requirements
I worked closely with the client to support a smooth transition to production and ensure the final result could be executed successfully.
